A lot is expected of a top-10 draft pick, no matter their position. See who will do what once the season kicks off.
Expect the Jets to go best available player a lot during the NFL Draft. I just suggest they start doing so sometime Friday instead of during the made-for-TV prime-time special that will be Thursday night’s first round.
While the Jets GM downplayed the effect Tim Tebow’s presence likely would have on who New York selects, it’s something the team might keep in mind next week.
When in doubt go defense. That will remain my NFL draft mantra until the day I either die or forget what football is, which will be basically the same day.
In Part I of my two-part series on the Jets’ offseason wish list I’m focusing on defense, because, to me, this is where this team is already built to succeed. The Jets have holes, but they are not nearly as pronounced as they are on offense.
