For Arkady “Art” Shenker of Bensonhurst skydiving was more than a hobby. His wife and two sons are finding peace in knowing he died doing what made him feel most alive.
Authorities say a 49-year-old Brookyn man who landed in the backyard of a home after a skydiving accident in southern New Jersey has died.
Edison Police Officer Michael Dotro, 35, is accused of setting fire to his boss’ Monroe Township home early Monday morning.
The charges came on the heels of an intensive investigation by the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office and the Monro Township Police Department.
Officials said the fire was brought under control within 10 to 15 minutes, but caused substantial damage to the home.
Monroe Township police were spending their seventh straight night Wednesday night in front of the home on South Rhoda Street where prosecutors said Andrew Grossman, 37, beat his 65-year-old father, Ronald, to death.
Boanerges Bezerra said the suspects brought a large stone to his backyard to launch the explosives, possibly pipe bombs, at the house. Investigators have charged Michael Cavallo, his brother Johnathon and Matt Debski in the incident.
The woman accused of killing her estranged husband with a chemical used to kill rats said she didn’t do it. Investigators said the crime might have gone unnoticed if not for a quick-thinking nurse.
Investigators said Tuesday a New Jersey chemist in the middle of a divorce poisoned her husband, who died late last month.
