Lion Cubs Celebrate One Year At Bronx Zoo

It’s been one year since Nala, Shani, and Adamma joined the cute crew at the African Plains exhibit. Since their grand debut, the three young African lions have grown to 150 pounds each.

Bone Marrow Drive In Young Broadway Star’s Memory

A bone marrow donor registry drive is being organized in memory of the 11-year-old girl who starred as Young Nala in Broadway’s “The Lion King.”

Eleven-year-old Broadway actress Shannon Tavarez has died. The “Lion King” actress’ battle with leukemia won the hearts of singers Alicia Keys, Rihanna and 50 Cent.
