The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has approved a new deal with Boingo Wireless that will give travelers up to 30 minutes of free internet access at the New York City area’s major airports.
“If you think there were long lines before, you’re not going to be able to imagine what it’s going to be when we have the furloughs,” the Transportation Security Administration’s Justin Bourque told WCBS 880 reporter Peter Haskell.
The New York City subway system “has never faced a disaster as devastating” as the damage that was caused by Superstorm Sandy, Metropolitan Transportation Authority chairman Joseph Lhota said Tuesday.
The suspension affects John F. Kennedy International, Newark Liberty International, LaGuardia, Stewart International and Teterboro airports. It applies to both domestic and international flights.
