40-Year-Old Woman Is Second Participant To Die After Triathlon

A 40-year-old woman who experienced difficulty during the swimming portion of the 11th Nautica New York City Triathlon has died.

NYC Triathlon Announces Death Of Competitor Sunday

Race Director Bill Burke says in a statement that the 64-year-old man died in Sunday’s race. A 40-year-old woman was treated on the scene and brought to Roosevelt Hospital.
