Critics Crying Foul Over Plan To Control Bird Populations Near JFK Airport
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s plan would authorize staffers to kill a half-dozen bird species within a five-mile radius of the airport, but environmentalists said the plan conflicts with an effort to restore nearby wetland habitats for birds.
