A lot of people pick presents by looking through gifts they have received in the past and passing them on – but when it comes to re-gifting, there are rules to get right.
Not everybody is in love with every gift that they received this holiday season, but it isn’t too late to turn unwanted gifts into re-gifts.
“There’s always that gift you find that you’re never going to wear or you’re never going to use and it winds up going in the drawer or in the closet,” said Dennis McKeon, Executive Director of Where To Turn.
It’s that time of year when people are rushing out to get the perfect presents, but all to often what lies beneath the wrapping paper isn’t always what you want or need.
A Fairleigh Dickinson University poll shows 38 percent of those surveyed say they re-gift. However, 72 percent say they do it just “once in a while.”
