Robert Kennedy Jr.
Prosecutors filed an appeal Friday seeking to reinstate Kennedy cousin Michael Skakel’s conviction on a charge of fatally bludgeoning neighbor Martha Moxley with a golf club in 1975, when they were both 15.
As conditions of the bail, the judge ordered that Skakel live in Connecticut and wear a GPS tracking device. His lawyer has not said where he’ll live.
Arguments will be heard on whether Judge Thomas Bishop has the authority to release Skakel from prison while he awaits a new trial in the 1975 slaying of neighbor Martha Moxley.
Cuomo is expected to announce a formal decision after the Department of Environmental Conservation completes its 5-year environmental impact study in the coming weeks.
Mary Kennedy’s reputation is under assault by allegations from her husband in confidential court papers that say during the past decade, she beat him multiple times.
