Baby Found In Trash Bag Released From Hospital In Jersey City

A baby boy who was abandoned two months ago in Jersey City was out of the hospital Sunday evening.

Newborn Found In N.J. Trash Bag Healthy Enough To Leave Hospital

He was found August 31 by three boys playing behind an apartment building. Hospital official say the baby, now called Kenneth, was born 11 to 12 weeks premature. He weighs about four pounds, which they say is normal for a premature baby his age.

Mom Arrested After Newborn Found In Trash Bag In Jersey City

Police believe 39-year-old Rosibel Lanza gave birth to the baby boy about 11 or 12 weeks early in her home on Saturday and allegedly abandoned the child in a plastic bag behind an apartment building.
