Woman Accused Of Running Bogus Newtown Charity Pleads Guilty

Nouel Alba, 37, of the Bronx, pleaded guilty in Bridgeport, Conn., to wire fraud and making false statements, the U.S. attorney’s office said.

Monetary Distributions To Newtown Victims, Families On Hold

The Congressional Medal of Honor Society said it chose the slain educators to receive its Citizen Honors Medal, the highest award it gives to a civilian, after receiving dozens of nominations for their actions during the shooting.

Obama Hands Over Radio Address To Sandy Hook Mom Urging Gun Reforms

Lautenberg, McCarthy Introduce High-Capacity Magazine Ban Measure

New Jersey Democratic Sen. Frank Lautenberg didn’t waste any time introducing a measure that would limit ammunition magazines to hold ten bullets. Tuesday was the first day in the 113th Congress that bills could be introduced. A companion measure was also introduced in the House by Rep. Carolyn McCarthy and has 48 co-sponsors.

Free Safety Audits Offered To Help Bergen County Public Schools ‘Plan For The Worst’

The Bergen County Prosecutor’s office is also preparing a training video for school officials on how to handle an active shooter situation. There are 318 public school buildings in Bergen County.
