For the first time in Rex Ryan’s three-plus years as head coach the Jets are in worse shape than they were before he got here. And if you have to put a face on why, Ryan’s certainly a culprit, but he’s not the kingpin.

Lichtenstein: 49ers Take Jets To School; Football 101 A Major Issue

I wrote during the week that I was afraid that the San Francisco 49ers would make the Jets look like a high school team. I was right, though I had the wrong root cause.

Silverman: Jets Must Use Muscle To Stand Up To Bay Area Bullies

Shonn Greene is going to need to carry the ball 25 to 30 times and do for the Jets’ offense what Frank Gore does for the 49ers. It may not be pretty, but the Jets have to try to slug it out with the Niners.
