NJ TRANSIT service on the Pascack Valley Line was suspended Wednesday evening – just as New Year’s Eve celebrations were set to begin – after someone was struck and killed by a train in Hackensack.
A Fire Department spokesman said the fire was reported at 3:38 p.m. Sunday at 19th Street and Sixth Avenue in Chelsea.
According to Metro-North, a signal issue caused the service outage.
