Police and the city Department of Transportation on Wednesday announced a “slow zone” that will be implemented on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn, in an effort to reduce speeding.

Not So Fast: Bronx Residents Want ‘Slow Zones’ Set Up On Side Streets Near Highways

Community members have submitted a request for those speed bumps to be placed around streets connecting the Hutchinson River and Pelham Parkways to create a ‘slow zone’. If approved this would add the area to the existing 14 Zone program.
