The Grand Concourse is the second of 25 planned arterial slow zones being put in place throughout the city in an effort to reduce traffic fatalities.
Police and the city Department of Transportation on Wednesday announced a “slow zone” that will be implemented on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn, in an effort to reduce speeding.
Community members have submitted a request for those speed bumps to be placed around streets connecting the Hutchinson River and Pelham Parkways to create a ‘slow zone’. If approved this would add the area to the existing 14 Zone program.
