A leading Republican New York state senator from upstate has been indicted on charges that he lied to the FBI about arranging a law firm job and an inflated salary for his son.
The Assembly voted in favor of the bill 104-43. The bill was passed by the Senate 43-18 late Monday. It was immediately was brought to Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who signed it into law.
