The street is called Tone Lane. It features attached townhouses of many immigrants. But anonymous mailings are frightening the people here, calling one neighbor, for example, a “deadbeat, child molester and degenerate.”
An April 1 email contains threats against school buses, warns of violence in state office buildings and against members of the state legislature. The threat was emailed from an anonymous account to state officials. Though it came in on April Fool’s day, it is being taken quite seriously.
“Current information suggests that al-Qaida and affiliated organizations continue to plan terrorist attacks,” the warning said.
