A father’s heartbreak at a shooting that gravely wounded his daughter was compounded Sunday evening, by a cruel reaction attributed to the teenage boy charged in the shooting.
A 17-year-old boy was in police custody Saturday morning, facing an attempted murder charge in the shooting of a child six years younger in Brooklyn.
The girl was standing on the corner of Gates and Throop avenues in Bed-Stuy at around 8:30 p.m., when she was apparently struck by a bullet shortly after a fight broke out, police said.
A man was shot multiple times and killed early Sunday in his home in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn.
Police say a suspect raped a woman inside his SUV near Monroe Street.
Barry Deloatch, 47, was fatally shot after police chased him into an alley just before 1 a.m. on Throop Avenue, relatives said.
