As of Saturday afternoon, the Long Island Power Authority reported that 130 of its customers are without power, most of which reside in Hempstead, Oyster Bay and North Hempstead.
Wild and dangerous weather caused quite a scare in parts of the Tri-State on Friday, as thunderstorms left toppled trees and flooding in their wake.
Connecticut Light & Power said some 62,000 customers remained without power early Friday.Thousands of homes were also without power in Dutchess, Putnam and Westchester counties.
