Animal Control Officers Make ‘Grisly’ Discovery At L.I. Home

Five dead animals and 17 severely neglected dogs were found in what officials called a “grisly” scene at a home in Rockville Centre.

Volunteers at the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter claim some animals were beaten and others were left to die in their cages — including a dog that was allegedly bleached to death by an angry kennel worker.
