A sick feeling is emanating through the Knicks. The offense is struggling, their playoff hopes teetering and key players are missing practice.

The Knicks finally broke 100 points and had 20 assists in the game. They finished with an offensive rating of 120 for the game, reminiscent of the type of numbers that they were putting up during their April winning streak.
“I think for the most part, from the start of the game and throughout the whole game, I think we played with a sense of urgency today,” Anthony said after the game. “We played the way we’ve been playing as far as competing at the highest level.”
The Knicks have to continue to play small, and play their game. Now isn’t the time to panic. Not yet, anyway.

The Knicks need to get focused on Wednesday night and put the Celtics out of their misery. There can’t be any more fooling around here. Take a double-digit first-half lead and hold it for the rest of the game.
Basketball aside, this will be the Celtics’ first home game since the terrorist attack at the Boston Marathon. Emotions will be flowing and the crowd will be as into a basketball game as can be imagined.

Barring any terrible injuries, if the Knicks win Game 2 they should win the series. They are the better team and I can’t see the Celtics beating the Knicks four out of five games and winning the series.
The response from the Knicks is basically: Go ahead. “They’re going to come back but we’ve got to worry about ourselves,” Carmelo Anthony said.
