Veterans Day Parade
The parade, which honors the bicentennial of the national anthem, stepped off at 11:25 a.m. and headed from Madison Square Park to 52nd Street.

A veterans’ mass was held at St. Patrick’s Cathedral Sunday, in honor of Veterans Weekend and Veterans Day on Monday.
This was the first Veterans Day honoring the men and women who served in uniform since the last U.S. troops left Iraq last December.
Veterans Day marks an opportunity for U.S. military service members to come together and remember the sacrifices they’ve made.
According to the group, Koch was given the honor for serving in the Army during World War II and for his service to Vietnam Veterans during his term as mayor.
Over 20,000 participants marched in the 92nd Annual Veteran’s Day Parade Friday alongside 3,000 active-duty servicemen and women.
Thousands of marchers paraded up Fifth Avenue today honoring those serving in the armed forces in Afghanistan and Iraq, as well as those who wore the uniform during conflicts including World War II, Korea and Vietnam.
