Group Says 9/11 Compensation Fund’s Pace Of Distribution ‘Unacceptable’

The federal fund for people with illnesses related to the Sept. 11 attacks said Friday it has been able to issue compensation decisions to only 112 people out of nearly 55,000 who have applied so far.

Sen. Gillibrand: ‘Clock Is Ticking’ On Enrollment For 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund

Anyone who worked on lived near the World Trade Center on or after Sept. 11 and was exposed to the toxic dust is eligible to sign up ahead of the Oct. 3 deadline.

Officials Urge Those Affected By 9/11 To Register For Victim Compensation Fund

Time is running out for people exposed to toxins from the Sept. 11 terror attacks to register for health benefits. A deadline of Oct. 3 is looming for those who are sick or might become sick because of 9/11.
