Best Lunch And Dinner Deals In NYC

Whether you're grabbing a quick bite for lunch or enjoying a tasting menu for dinner, here are five restaurants that are serving up great food at great prices. By Carly Petrone.

If you're craving an Italian dish for lunch make sure to stop into Pepe Rosso To Go and grab their lunch special. From 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. you can choose from a prosciutto panino with mozzarella and arugula, grilled vegetable panino with mozzarella and virgin olive oil, fusilli with chopped tomatoes and fresh arugula, or penne with fresh tomato, basil, and melted mozzarella with a soup or mixed salad for just $9.95. Pair it with an iced lemonata and you've got yourself one hearty lunch for less than $10.

If you have time to take a leisurely lunch, definitely go to Babbo for their tasting menu. Sure, it's $49/person but you'll enjoy three delicious courses plus a slice of olive oil cake and gelato. Right now the menu includes poached baby artichokes with eggplant Caponata and mint, pork "Francobolli" with morels and corn, and guinea hen "alla Cacciatora" with summer beans. If you don't have to go back to work we suggest taking advantage of the wine pairing that's available for an extra $35. Bottoms up!

Vanessa's Dumpling House is the place you go when you're down to your last $5. You can literally get a plate of 4 chive & pork fried dumplings for $1. The sesame pancake with Peking duck is a stand out and also a steal at just $3. Everything on the menu is less than $10 (except for the frozen dumplings which will cost you anywhere from $9-$14). You can also get your dumplings in soup if you're in the mood for something a little heartier. Sip on your choice of bubble tea ($3) or try one of their fun-flavored smoothies ($3.50) like the honeydew or taro.

Seafood lovers should head to Mermaid Inn Oyster Bar for $1 happy hour oysters from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. (and all day on Mondays). Their happy hour menu also includes tasty options like shrimp corn dogs, mini chilled tomato gazpacho, and mini mermaid fish tacos (all $3/each). Draft beers are just $5 and cocktails are $8 – may we suggest the Gone with the Gin? This refreshing drink is made with gin, grapefruit, thyme syrup, and lemon. It's the perfect summer cocktail.

Stop into In Vino on a Sunday evening and enjoy Chef James Kelly's "Sunday Gravy" three-course dinner. For $25 you can sit back and savor the rest of your weekend with a bottle of wine for an additional $15. The Summer BBQ edition features tasty choices like Carolina Ragu made with smoked pulled pork, peperonata, and smoked gouda as well as house cured bresaola with spring giardiniera and parmesan. Satisfy your sweet tooth with a piece of Tiramisu della Nonna to end the meal. Sunday nights just got more exciting thanks to this delicious deal.
