New York Fashion Week 2012's 5 Best Public Events
New York Fashion Week kicks off this week, and though the fashion bonanza is for a more exclusive (read: "by invitation only") crowd, there are a few events open for those enamored by the glitz and glam. While you could spend your days hoping for an invite from Charlotte Ronson or Michael Kors, why not focus your efforts on RSVPing to one of the events below? Kick off NYFW with a trip to Nolita's newly opened YN Wine Bar for "Panties & Prosecco," which is also just in time for Valentine's Day. The night will highlight seven fashion photographers and illustrators who are both established talent and emerging faces in the industry. This free event will be hosted by Darian Darling.
