With the height of holiday travel season quickly approaching, you're most likely going to have to eat at least one meal at the airport. Luckily, we've narrowed down the tastiest places for you to dine before you fly. Grab a juicy burger before your flight out of LaGuardia at Custom Burgers by Pat La Frieda. With an easy touch screen menu for fast-placed ordering and a wide range of burger options, this place takes fast food to a whole other level. Choose from the classic Americana – the basic burger with American cheese on a potato roll – or go all in with the Gordito – a three patty creation with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, bacon, and Russian dressing. Plus, you can wash it down with a milkshake of your choice. You probably won't be eating again until you land but hey, isn't that the point?

AeroNuova

Bet you never expected to watch a Fellini movie at the airport but at AeroNuova you can do just that. Fly out of the JetBlue Terminal in the morning and watch as many black and white movies as your wait time will allow – while enjoying a custom-made omelet or bloody Mary. This Italian café also serves up great lunch and dinner dishes like thin crust pizzas, rich pasta carbonara, and chicken palliard. Make sure to look up and check out the filmstrip chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. So sit back, relax, and make sure you don't miss your flight because this quaint restaurant will suck you in with its cool vibe and decadent menu. Ciao!

vino volo

Enjoy a wine tasting before boarding your flight at Vino Volo in Newark Airport's Terminal C. Pair your chardonnay with something exotic like the chickpea chorizo chili or order your favorite red wine with the brie & prosciutto sandwich and mac and cheese. If you'd rather grab a glass of vino and take your food to go, we suggest the obligatory cheese plate that is filled with creamy Camembert, soft blue cheese, and Vermont cheddar (as well as fig jam and toasted baguette slices). Mouth watering already? You might just have to book a flight to satisfy your craving.

It's impossible not to mention Shake Shack when talking about great places to grab a bite at JFK. If you're taking Delta, you're in luck because a classic burger and fries are just a security line away. Got an early flight? Stop by and grab a delicious egg and cheese breakfast sandwich (add bacon or sausage) until 11 a.m. If you want to pair it with some of their signature crinkle fries, we won't judge. All we can say is Shack sauce on the side please!

Vuelo Taqueria

If you're looking for something quick and easy, head over to Vuelo Taqueria at LaGuardia's Terminal C. Chef Aaron Sanchez of The Food Network is the mastermind behind this casual Mexican food court option. Try the short rib beef taco with pickled onion (and just the right amount of cojita cheese) or start your day off with a breakfast torta. Wash it down with an agua fresca or sangria and you're all set for take off.
