Are you ready for The New York City Unicycle Festival? The annual event kicks off today with a mass ride over the Brooklyn Bridge at 3 p.m to Grand Army Plaza at 4 p.m. and then to Coney Island at 6 p.m. Come witness a one wheel parade across Brooklyn followed by "One-Wheel," an amazing stage show at Coney Island USA Shooting Gallery Arts Annex. Check website for further events happening over the weekend on Governors Island.

Meet the cast and crew of Last Weekend, the latest film by directors Tom Dolby and Tom Williams, tonight at the IFC Center. Watch a screening of this quirky comedy and stick around for a Q&A with Williams, production designer Amy Williams, editor David Gray, as well as stars Zachary Booth and Alexia Rasmussen. The film follows a matriarch (Patricia Clarkson) who asks her adult sons to visit their gorgeous Lake Tahoe home for a final weekend before she sells it, but it quickly becomes a comical disaster. Learn more tonight starting at 7:50 p.m. Tickets range from $9-$14.

Gruesome offers a staggeringly diverse sound, unexpectedly quiet and surprisingly loud while punk rockers Big Ups is all about the mosh pits. Get your long weekend started along the water with these free live concerts. First set starts at 7 p.m.

Celebrate what would have been the King of Pop's 56th birthday tonight at the Morbid Anatomy Museum. There will be karaoke, videos, and an illustrated talk by Shannon Taggart on "the curious afterlife of Michael Jackson." Plus, you can cheers his ongoing legacy with a Hendrick's Gin cocktail. The party begins at 8 p.m. and tickets are $20.
