This New York Film Festival event is free and will bring up the issue that the majority of gatekeepers and taste makers in the industry are white men. Anne Hubbell (Tangerine Entertainment), Moikgantsi Kgama (ImageNation), Carrie Rickey (The Philadelphia Inquirer), and Nancy Schafer (independent film producer) will talk about how we can open film culture up to include all genders and cultures. Architect Frank Prial, Jr., MTA Program Manager Douglas Tilden, MTA Associate Director of Planning Jack Dean, LIRR Chief Planning Officer Elisa Picca, and Director for Manhattan Borough at City Planning will talk about the East Side Project, one of the nations largest transportation infrastructures.
