It's time for the Eugene Mirman Comedy Festival! Tonight, some of the funniest comedians in the business will host EMCF 2014: The Talent Show Presents…Gowanus Idol. Get ready to see Elna Baker, Kevin Townley, Amy Schumer, Bridget Everett, Dave Hill, Ira Glass, Bobby Tisdale, Derrick Brown, Amber Tamblyn, Joseph Keckler, Eliot Glazer, and Giulia Rozzi host this night of comedy that's sure to be both sincere and ironic at the same time. Plus, The Engagements will be there to keep the classic funk, soul covers, and 80's favorites going all night long. Event begins at 8:30 p.m. and tickets are $20.

Did you know that actor Jeff Goldblum is also a jazz enthusiast? Watch him play the piano tonight at Café Carlyle when his jazz group, The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra, hits the stage at the historic venue. He, along with guitarist John Storie, bassist Tim Emmons, tenor saxophonist Zane Musa, and drummer Kenny Elliott, will perform all types of melodies. Tickets range from $25-$80 and concert starts at 8:45 p.m.

Literary Death Match returns to Manhattan with special guests Joshua Ferris, Julie Klam, Rivka Galchen, and Bill Scheft. Head over to Symphony Space tonight at 8 p.m. to see these four authors battle it out on stage as they read their own tales for seven minutes or less. Three all-star judges, Janeane Garafalo, Nick Flynn, and Carrie Coon, will be choosing which storytellers to move onto the finals. Tickets are $15.
