Driver Charged In Crash That Left NYC Teen Critical

NEW YORK (CBS 2) — A man from Florida was facing drunk driving and other charges Monday in connection with an accident that left a Bronx teen in critical condition.

Emily Sexton, 17, suffered two broken legs, a broken arm, and internal injuries.  She was standing with friends on the sidewalk along City Island Avenue Saturday night when she was hit.

Witnesses said the driver, 40-year-old Peter Wolfman, was speeding moments before he tried to make a u-turn.

“I see a girl on a car, like pinned in the car and the wall and he backs up and she falls then he gets out and he faints,” said witness Nina Fiallo.

“When he hopped out he kinda fell down right away, but when people came over to him he said no, help her,” said witness Kevin Fanning.

Witnesses said they saw the driver stumbling out of a bar just moments before the crash. Wolfman was charged with driving while intoxicated.

I have had the wonderful joy of knowing Emily as a child as we lost touch over the years I have always thought of her. Her beauty , joy and light will not be taken from her. This man will get his, I believe this. Her brother Greg was also a amazing child. Words can not say the true sorrow my son and I are felling for this family. Our children are close in age and grew up very close early on in their lives. My family and I pray for all of you. We are truly sorry that your beautiful children are suffering. We loved you always. When will the proper law for making drunk murderers face regular murder laws be enacted? This drunk will just get out of jail after 3 years.

Oh wait. ALL politicians are drunken lying sh\\ts. They’ll NEVER pass a tough drunk murderer law.

There are NO cars on the Moon, there are NO guns on the Moon. Think I’ll go and start a family up there…hmmm.

Yes, enjoy that lack of an atmosphere too. Be sure to set up near one of the poles, because you’ll find water is rather lacking up there as well.

What do guns have to do with this?
