Residents Weigh In On Staten Island Turkey Trouble
NEW YORK (CBS 2) -- Turkeys are taking over Staten Island, so the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation is trying to decide what to do with the wild birds.
Their fate may be decided by the locals.
State officials have sent out questionnaires, asking residents which action they prefer.
The results will determine if the turkeys are left alone, moved to a wildlife sanctuary or harvested and donated as food for the needy.
