Police: Woman Charged For Dumping Baby Inside Trash Can At Queens Hospital

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – The mother of a newborn baby who was dumped inside a trash can at a Queens emergency room Tuesday has been charged.

Police say Dawa Lama was arrested and charged with assault and reckless endangerment.

According to officials, Lama gave birth inside Elmhurst Hospital, put the baby in the trash can and then walked out around 2:30pm Tuesday.

The infant is still in the hospital in critical condition.

Reckless and in-human… Put her into jail for life.. Dont just throw an innocent living like a garbage.. Have some fear and shame on you. If she doesnt want the baby give it to someone who will take care of the baby.
