Friday night, while calling the Indians-Yankees game at the Stadium, radio play-by-play man John Sterling had a little difficulty calling some of the action, which tends to happen from time to time.

It happened in the top of the 2nd inning when Indians catcher Carlos Santana hit a ball to right field that Sterling first called a hit, then a foul ball, before he was eventually corrected by his partner Suzyn Waldman, “that’s right Jawn.”

Later in the game Suzyn went on about Yankees reliever Kevin Whelan and his 27 inches, I mean 27 innings at Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, the Bombers’ Triple-A affiliate.  They’re quite a team that John and Suzyn
