B&C Morning Show: Lockout, Cromartie, Heatin' Up All Over The NFL

The NFL is inching closer to a deal with the NFL Players Association for a new collective barging agreement. The players vote today and the owners vote tomorrow. With that, Boomer & Craig opened today's edition of the Morning Extravaganza talking a little football.

There are still some hurdles to overcome as Drew Brees, Peyton Manning, Logan Mankins and Vincent Jackson are all allegedly making things a little bit difficult and Vikings punter Chris Kluwe took to Twitter to voice his displeasure.

All in all though it appears that everything will be worked out and the free-agency frenzy will soon commence.  Speaking of which, Antonio Cromartie went on record saying that he has no intentions of offering the Jets a hometown discount when it comes to negotiating his contract.

Boomer has no problem with Cromartie's comments, pointing out the NFL is a business and he has to look out for himself.  Craigie on the other hand thinks the father of nine is being selfish, and he should treat the Jets better than that considering how they have treated him during his time in New York.

From the gridiron to the diamond, the guys made the smooth transition to talking a little baseball as the Yanks fell prey to their surrounding as they lost to the Rays 3-2 at Tropicana Field.  The Mets welcomed back Jose Reyes from the DL and Carlos Beltran from the flu and managed to beat the Cardinals 4-2 behind Dillon Gee's 9th win of the season...
