New Jersey Man Shot Trying To Enter Plainfield Home

PLAINFIELD, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A resident shot and killed a man who attempted to illegally enter a home in Plainfield early Monday, authorities said.

Union County Prosecutor Theodore Romankow says it appears 25-year-old Robert Louis was shot several times and died at the scene.

No charges have been filed.

The name of the resident was not released.

The investigation continues.
