B&C Morning Show: A-Rod's Poker Face, A.J.'s True Colors And Osi's Worth

Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez has not played a game for the Bombers since July 7, as he is currently on the disabled list, recovering from surgery to repair a tear in his right knee.

Despite his absence from the Yankees' lineup, "The Lightning-Rod" was all over the news on Wednesday for allegations that he was involved in a high-stakes poker game that got a little ugly.  Now we hear the 'powers-that-be' in Major League Baseball are not happy and a possible suspension just may be in A-Rod's future.

Now, we all know Craig has an admitted man-crush on Rodriguez - but putting that aside for a moment - he does not get why this could possibly be a suspend-able offense. Craig thinks his guy Alex is being singled out.

On the field, the Yankees beat down the White Sox 18-7 in Chicago, exploding for 13 runs in the first 3 innings.  Even after being staked to 13-1 lead, A.J. Burnett imploded and was pulled from the game after 4 1/3 innings of work  after he let up 7 earned runs.  Craig says he does not care how much money the Yankees are paying him, there is no way Burnett should be on any kind of playoff roster for the Bombers.  With that said, Craig talked about the Yankees pitching rotation and the huge group of question marks (????) behind the hefty lefty, CC Sabathia.

We also heard the latest from the ongoing Osi Umenyiora-Giants contract squabble, as the Giants rescinded permission to Osi and his agent to seek a trade.  Craig says Big Blue has to figure something out because bottom line is, they need to have Osi on the field...

So with Boomer out today - taking a day for himself - Craig held things down in the Allstate Studio in a very entertaining way...
