DARIEN, CT (WCBS 880) – Linda McMahon is like many of her WWE fighters. She gets knocked down, but doesn’t stay down.

Republican McMahon lost her U.S. Senate race to Richard Blumenthal in 2010, but she is expexted to try again, this time to fill the soon to be vacated seat of Sen. Joe Lieberman.

Now, a report says she’ll announce this latest run this coming Tuesday.

Republican Former Rep. Chris Shays is expected to join her in the race early this October.

To voters in Darien, it’s a chance to hear some new ideas on solving problems in a divisive climate.

“There are too many talking heads and not enough people who are serious enough about making hard decisions. Washington is full of politicians but no statesman,” one man told WCBS 880 reporter Paul Murnane.

“To me, it’s the same old rhetoric over and over again. They get into Washington and they can’t do anything about it. It’s a mess. I wish I had an answer for you. I don’t,” another man said.

“I guess we wait for something new,” replied Murnane.

“I’m not sure what something new is yet, but I’m ready for it,” the man said.

“I’m looking for someone who can step away from the typical partisan theories and, you know, actually go and get something done,” said still another.

“The issues are easy,” said yet another. “More jobs and a better economy. It’s how we get there and there’s no right answer. It’s just figuring out what’s best for everyone.”

Rep. Chris Murphy and former secretary of the state Susan Bysiewicz are expected in the field of Democrats seeking the seat.

A two time loser? She lost one election to a guy that the delusional people in CT follow blindly. They didn’t realize how much his actions as CT AG actually hurt the state, instead they look at all the free money he promises. You should get your facts straight before you say something so stupid frank.

Good luck to Ms McMahon. Please use McMahon for Senate instead of Linda during your upcoming campaign. It’s all about the luck of the Irish when it come to the rank and file. .forget about the feminist first name basis approach.

46 million Americans or 15% of the American population live below poverty yet CEOs and other executives continue to give themselves $100 million bonuses. Can someone please help me here…….this is wrong, right?

I see very little difference between the WWF and politics. I think she will be right at home in DC
