Speaking as a Grandmother of grandchildren who are in the system I know exactly how my daughter would feel and i guess that she feels the same way that Miss Nadal feels about her 8 children being taken from her and put in foster care, all that she cared about was her children and heir welfare, granted she absconded with them out of fear that they will now ner be a family ever again because of this infraction that occurred……..The agency Forestdale does not care one way or the other that ay woman’s children is taken away from her no matter what the situtation is, all that they @ the agency is that the children wil be better off without their parent(s) in their lives which is a direct falsehood all around,In the case of my grandchildren their mother has not be given the proper respect or ability to be their mother, which is something that Forestdale desn’t want for my grandchildren to have Nor does ACS want that for my grandkids either…………These two agencys are made up with uncaring and very heartless people whose main objective is to destroy any hope that the natural parents have of ever getting their children returned to them, also they see to it that the grandparent(s) does not see the children as well. What ever falls on the agency behind this with the Nadal/Payne family is truly what they deserve to get,because No child should be taken from their Momma or Daddy and thrown into a system that actually couldn’t careless about the parents andwhat they are going through just to survive and raise their children in this cruel society……..The Mother of those 8 children really wasn’t thinking of the repuccussions of what the law will do to her and her kids father all she was concerned with was being with he children and enjoying being with them at any cost,I feel for her because I have lost my grandmother privilages being that my grandkids are not with their mother..God less Miss Nadal and may he help her to deal with this very unpleasant situtation

Until the states comes and takes your kids because someone made a false accusation against you, you should not pass judgement. Once they have your kids, they are open to all types of crime. I would have done the same thing. Kids and raped daily in these government kiddie jails.

To hell with these mutant parents and their damn kids. I can only wonder how much of my tax dollars went and is still going to them for support. OK let me get the straight….the father is accused of abuse…they are living in a van so they are homeless….how are they planning to to feed and clean these kids never mind schooling..I’m assuming she was plaing on home schooling them in the van…and yet people are saying they are better off with their parents???

Instead of judging the parents and the system, why ? The kids have to suffer the consequences. Yesterday, I saw Anderson Coopper show , it was horrible to see how parents abuse their kids. These kids are beautiful, please sit down to find a good solution for their lives. Remember, they are good samaritans, who could them. The Lord gives kids, don’t let them suffer because of the system.

Agree with the fact that we cannot judge without knowing the details, and with CPS involved, it is never clear cut. Those who believe that CPS only intervenes when true abuse or neglect exists are living in dreamland. Maybe these kids were abused or neglected; maybe not. Maybe they just didn’t fit someone’s ideal view of IDEAL parents. Who knows. Sometimes CPS leaves kids to die. Other times they take kids that they shouldn’t. Occasionally they get it right.

From earlier reports I read, this mom and dad had been jumping through all the hoops, doing all they were supposed to do, but CPS was still talking about terminating their parental rights. This happens more than you’d realize if you are the average citizen; CPS sets forth requirements and a “plan” but often hinders the parents completion of that plan. For example, parents are supposed to visit 1x a week, but CPS reschedules often, later this is used against parents for “not visiting”. As time goes by with this kind of hindrance, the system says “Oh look, these kids have been in foster care too long, time to get them adopted”… who, in that situation, wouldn’t freak out and take their kids?

My money paid for these kids in the foster homes. it was my money that paid for the police to find these kids. How dare these two be allowed to have anything to do with these children.

I believe that some of these News websites need to filter these comments that are posted. People have their own opinions to every situation but there are some who do not need to know what they are.

We really cannot pass judgment on this story without additional facts. What did they do to lose custody? Did they lose their kids only because they were too poor? Did the state wrongfully take away the children instead of providing assistance? Did she have a mom to help her? It is a very natural desire to want to have your family all together with you. How heartbreaking must it be to be branded a criminal because you desire to have a big happy family instead of wondering what kind of crazies have your children under their roof. No one should be too labeled too poor to have a family.

On the other hand, if this woman was a drug abuser that put these kids in harms way day in and day out then this is just a tragic story all the way around.

I certainly do not trust the state system enough to give it the benefit of the doubt. i would like to learn more about what happened here before forming an opinion.

This is the main reason why I pay around $300/mo in just NYC income tax. Gotta move to New Hampshire. No state income tax nor sales tax. And better quality of life without having to encounter many leeches like this on the street begging, stealing (in addition to MY tax dollars), stabbing, shooting, etc.

I am so relieved that these children have been found. My question is…why wasn’t there visit being supervised? I understand that you want to give some “privacy” however, with her kind of background supervision should have been administered. Could you even begin to imagine what the children are feeling. I have been thinking all week about this story, hoping and praying for the safety of those innocent children. Not every woman is meant to be a mother and in this case she had her first child way to young. I don’t know her past, but she shouldn’t of had 8 children. I hope that these children get the proper care they need and deserve. After all…they were not asked to be brought into this world. I also hope that the foster care place in queens changes the way its run.

“Lost” my Jabra proprietary bluetooth headset charging cable a few months ago. But mistakenly put it in shopping bag while cleaning the car. Found it there (while cleaning the house this time) a few weeks ago. Luckily I did not pay any money for another one. Got to be more careful though, because it is only about 8″ and therefore pretty easy (and expensive because hard to find) to misplace.

Well, thank goodness they were at least together and perhaps the kids were safe. With the amount of children she has had with only about a two year break I assume its fair to say she is overwhelmed. Women have the tendency to suffer from post-partum depression if they feel this way or if they feel they have no help from the spouse. It can be a great deal of stress with raising children from birth. Crying, diaper changing,nursing, feeding, lack of sleep on both mother and child and housework. Some men can’t begin to imagine the 24hr. job raising children can be. From what I can tell, he was there during the conceiving of all children ( God they all look just like him ) but not when the going got tough. He reported her for abuse and probably had no idea what was next to come. I pray this mother will get the help and BIRTH CONTROL she so desperately needs to continue to be a good mother to her children.
