NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Police have arrested a Queens man after they say he took his 2-year-old daughter and told the girl’s mother that she would never see him or the toddler again.

An Amber Alert was issued Thursday for 2-year-old Ashley Minaya after her mother called police saying the girl’s father, 33-year-old Mario Minaya, threatened to take toddler away.

Police say the 2-year-old’s mother left the girl with Minaya when she went to work, but soon after got a call from Minaya saying he was taking off with child.

The two were later found by police and Minaya was arrested. The toddler was in good condition.

Minaya has been charged with custodial interference and endangering the welfare of a child.

Sad to hear this, but people the system is not fair and the court are a waste of time and money. Very seldom females arrested for taking off with the children. There was a case where the mother took the children (with her boyfriend) from New York to New Jersey and then to the State of Pennsylvania, and it was later revealed that the mother was allowing her boyfriend to have Sex with a 3 year old and the 5 year old. Eventually she was arrested, but she didnt get charged for taking the children across 3 states to avoid prosecution of her Pedofile boyfriend, the court’s and ACS protected her………
