CNET's Holiday Gift Guide Comes To Life At Downtown NYC Pop Up

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Got a techie in your life this holiday season? Not to worry.

New Yorkers don't have to go too far to discover the season's hottest tech gadgets, as CNET brings its annual Holiday Gift Guide to life at the downtown Openhouse Gallery.

Hosted by CNET's editors, from November 9 – 13, "CNET Gotham" will feature interactive product exhibits, how-to sessions with experts, daily giveaways and prizes and special events geared to helping shoppers decide which gadgets to buy this holiday season.

"CNET is creating ultimate digital playground where people can see, touch and play with the latest tech gadgets and get advice from our editors so they can decide exactly what to give and get this year," said Lindsey Turrentine, Editor in Chief, CNET Reviews.

Free and open to the public from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., November 9-13 at 201 Mulberry Street (at Spring St.), visitors can meet with CNET editors and ask tech-related questions as well as attend the tech boot camp where editors will cover topics including online privacy, better cooking through smart devices, social media privacy, car tech 101 and more.

Additionally, three rooms including the living room, home office, and kitchen will be featured with the latest technology for the public to explore and demo. How-to demos as well as holiday buying guides will also be provided by CNET experts as well as daily giveaways and raffle prize drawings.

What's more, two of New York City's famed food trucks will be on hand. Sweetery, the top rated mobile bake shop, will be hosting giveaways.

KorillaBBQ will also be near Openhouse Gallery for the event.

New Yorkers can join the staff November 10 at 6 p.m. for the CNET Meet and Greet party and meet other tech nerds Friday night at the Nerd Nite Party and Speed Dating Event while Saturday boasts CNET's Glam Night with a glam photoshoot.
