Ryan Gosling Fans 'Occupy' People Magazine Office In Protest Of Actor's 'Sexiest Man Alive' Snub

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- While thousands took to the streets of New York as part of the Occupy Wall Street's Day of Action, a new 'Occupy' movement sprung up this week - outside the People magazine offices in Midtown.

Ryan Gosling fans are demanding a recount in the magazine's 'Sexiest Man Alive' voting. This year's top spot went to Bradley Cooper.

Standing outside the magazine's New York headquarters, both men and women held up signs with photos of the Crazy Stupid Love star. One sign read: "Ryan Gosling is proof that there is a god and she is a woman."

There were also chants.

"Bradley Cooper is just fine, but Ryan Gosling is divine," the protestors cried.

Meanwhile, more than 3,000 people have signed an online petition calling for the magazine to admit its mistake and give Gosling, who received an honorable mention, the title of 'Sexiest Man Alive.'

Perhaps some believe he deserves the crown not just for his blue eyes and sly smile, but his heart. Last summer, the Academy Award nominated actor broke up an altercation on 8th Street in the East Village.
