Sources: NYPD Investigates Child Groping Incident In Central Park

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – The New York Police Department is investigating an alleged groping incident that took place Sunday morning in Central Park.

Sources tell CBS 2 the incident took place as a 6 year old boy was leaving the bathroom at the Ancient Playground, located on the east side of the park near 85th Street.

Sources tell CBS 2 an unidentified male grabbed the boy’s buttocks, winked and smiled.

The child told his mother about the incident.

Police searched the area for the suspect but came up with nothing. They are reviewing surveillance video in the area.  So far, a description of the suspect is not available.

There have been no arrests.
