Police Search For Man Who Robbed Tribeca Office, Broke Woman's Jaw

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - The NYPD is asking for your help catching the thug who allegedly broke a 23-year-old woman's jaw during a robbery in Tribeca.

Police say the robbery took place on Monday, the day after Christmas. They say the suspect entered an office building in Tribeca and went up to the 10th floor. Once there, police say the suspect forced his way into an office. He was armed with a knife.

Police say that once inside the office, the suspect assaulted a 23-year-old woman, tied her up and stole money, a backpack and a laptop computer. The suspect then took off.

The victim of the attack initially refused treatment at the scene, but later went to Flushing Hospital where she was treated for a broken jaw.

The suspect is believed to be in is 50s, weighs about 200 pounds, and was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black jacket and a black knit cap.

He was caught on surveillance video entering the building. Watch the video below.
