NYPD: Off-Duty Officer Fatally Shoots 17-Year-Old Suspect In Bushwick

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — The NYPD is investigating a fatal police-involved shooting in Bushwick.

An off-duty officer was apparently attacked by two men in an attempted robbery as he walked along Grove Street near Broadway shortly before midnight Sunday.

1010 WINS’ Terry Sheridan reports

Police said one of the suspects simulated a gun and the other struck the officer in the face with a cane.

Police said the officer then identified himself, pulled out his gun and fired one shot, striking 17-year-old Antwain White in the chest.

White was pronounced dead at Woodhull Hospital.

The second suspect has been taken into custody.

1010 WINS’ Terry Sheridan reports the officer was also taken Woodhull Hospital to be treated for facial injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.

The shooting comes less than a week after an off-duty police officer fatally shot suspect carjacker Christopher Kissane in the Cypress Hills section of Brooklyn.

Martial Law. Declare it! Now! Before it’s too late. The police is doing alot, they need help. Get them other military boys involved.
Stop thinking about money and pass teh law for martial law. Clean up teh trash, projects. You know what happens if you leave trash uncleaned for a while, it leaves a stain.
All you opoliticians, stop teh greed, thiink of the people who put you where you are. If the officer is not around, you may be the next target.

It’s about time the police start to use deadly force against these low life punks. I like to kill those people who steal the bait car. It’s the only way to clean up and get them off the street period.

That’s what you get for attacking an innocent person for no reason. But I’m sure Al Sharpton will start screaming “police brutality” any minute now…
