NYPD: Stolen DEP Truck Crashes Into UES Barber Shop

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Police say four people were hurt after a stolen Department of Environmental Protection truck crashed into a barber shop on the Upper East Side.

It happened on First Avenue between 86th and 87th streets just after 11 p.m. Friday. The NYPD says the driver first hit several parked cars before crashing into the barber shop.

The FDNY says four people were injured, including the two men inside the truck and a pedestrian on the sidewalk.
