NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Landing the coveted host spot on Saturday Night Live is a pretty good indicator that your career is on its way up.
The same usually goes for musical guest spots, unless you’re Lana Del Rey, whose performance a few weeks ago killed her career before it even started. But I digress.
Lindsay Lohan is probably feeling pretty good these days.
The down-and-out actress has had a notoriously hard time getting acting work over the last few years. Producers had a hard time insuring projects she was a part of — this is likely due, at least in part, to her legal problems and because of her partying lifestyle.
According to Celebuzz, things are looking up for the native Long Islander: She’s playing a minor role in the upcoming Gotti Family biopic, and she’s hosting SNL nex tweek.
Dina Lohan, the world’s most famous stage mother, let the news slip on Twitter. “Lindsay Lohan is coming back to Saturday Night Live yay!!!,” she tweeted.
This will be LiLo’s second time hosting the show. Her first time was back in 2006–when she was still actively working in the film industry.
Lohan’s new episode will March 3rd, and will feature musical guest Jack White.
I’m guessing shoplifting and morgue jokes will be at a minimum.
