Teen Arrested In Connection With Nassau County Break-Ins
LEVITTOWN, NY (CBSNewYork) -- Police say a second suspect has been arrested in connection with a series of break-ins in Nassau County.
A 16-year-old from Levittown is charged with four counts of second degree burglary.
Investigators say the teen was part of a group of suspects who broke into homes in Seaford, Wantagh and Levittown back in December.
Earlier this week, detectives say they arrested another suspect in the case, 20-year-old Giovanni Colantuono.
Last month, Nassau County residents used the recent spike of burglaries as fuel in a rally to keep all eight Nassau police precincts open.
But with the county facing a $310 million budget gap, the Legislature voted along party lines, 10-9 in favor of closing half of the county's eight precincts.
