SNY studio analyst Bob Ojeda called in this morning and was greeted with his own theme song, a gesture the former Mets hurler really seemed to appreciate.

With the good vibes rolling, Bobby O and Craig got to talking about the Mets, who before last night’s loss to the Nationals had the good vibes rolling through Citi Field.

Then Terry Collins opted to field a less-than-top-notch lineup, a move that factored into his club’s first loss of the season.  When Ojeda heard Craig’s passion when he was talking about the loss, he was reminded why he loves Mets fans.  After that he assured Craig that Collins is as passionate about the Mets as anyone.

The guys also talked about David Wright’s injured right pinkie. Like Craig, Ojeda would be surprised if the Mets third baseman spent anytime on the DL.

Looking forward, Ojeda is very excited about today’s afternoon tilt with those same Nationals, a match-up that features Washington’s young fireballer Stephen Strasburg and Mets lefty ace Johan Santana.  He was also able to offer to viable excuse as to why his partner on the Mets pre- post-game show on SNY, Chris Carlin, will not be by his side today…
