UTICA, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Police said a 49-year-old man tried to rob a central New York bank armed with a toilet plunger.
Utica police told local media outlets that Lawrence Deptola went into a city bank Thursday afternoon and threatened a teller with the plunger.
Police responded after two other banks had previously called authorities about a suspicious man entering their buildings.
