NEW YORK (WFAN) – Thanks to Mets infielder Justin Turner, many Tri-State area sports fans are familiar with Carly Rae Jepsen’s hit, “Call Me Maybe.”
Even if they won’t admit it.
Turner embraced the tune after a dare from friends to use it for his walk-up song. “Call Me Maybe” has spawned countless viral videos, including a new one from the U.S. Olympic swimming team.
Hey, if it works for America’s pastime, it’s good enough for Team USA as they get ready for the 2012 summer games in London.
Friendly rivals Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte appear with the rest of their team in the lip-synched clip, which boasted over 300,000 views on YouTube as of Friday morning.

The video, posted Thursday, features synchronized moves on the team bus and also some underwater — water slide, too — dancing. Even 75-year-old assistant coach Jon Urbanchek shows off his forever-young stuff:
