Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said in both instances the victims' bodies were covered with materials from the businesses -- such as boxes, baking dishes and clothing.

The same .22-caliber gun was used in both crimes and Kelly believes it may have been a rifle-type weapon.

Kelly discounted earlier reports that the similar addresses of the businesses had any significance.

Investigators are trying to locate security video to get a picture of the suspected killer.

"Obviously that's something we look for in any case and certainly in a case of this magnitude, and we're doing that, literally as I speak," Kelly said Monday.

Police have released a sketch of the suspect and are talking to people who may have seen the killer.

Police have also stepped up patrols in the neighborhoods.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police 1-800-577-TIPS.
