NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Bart Scott is really taking this “media mutiny” thing seriously.

The Jets linebacker, who declared a personal ban on talking to the press after the team’s Week 1 win, attempted to lead a larger boycott after Sunday’s 27-13 victory over the Rams in St. Louis.

Scott wasn’t too happy when his defensive teammates declined to follow suit. He called linebacker Bryan Thomas “a (expletive) sellout” in front of reporters, according to the New York Post.

The Associated Press reported that Scott also barked “You didn’t get the memo?” at a player.

Scott was apparently still miffed over last week’s Daily News report, which quoted several unnamed Jets ripping backup quarterback Tim Tebow. The linebacker wanted his squad to answer all questions with “both teams played hard — anonymously,” the Post reported.

“Stop it. Just stop it,” safety Yeremiah Bell told Scott, according to a tweet from Bart Hubbuch of the Post.

It wasn’t Scott’s first dustup with the press. He was fined $10,000 by the team in January for flipping off a photographer in the Jets’ locker room. In September, he was involved in an altercation with Dan Leberfeld of Jets Confidential.
